Where do we store personal data?

The BLHA activities are carried out by volunteer committee post holders. They will hold the data they use on their own computers and only  only holds the data they need for their activity. If data is transferred between the committee, the methods available are electronic email; encrypted memory sticks or paper records.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

  • Contact forms

Contact forms used in this website will capture personal data when someone submits a form, such as name, address, email, and phone number. The contact form submissions are kept for a period of time for customer service purposes, and are not used for marketing purposes.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Data retention period and Data destruction

  • Your personal details as provided above will be stored on a computer, and used for business directly relating to your membership of, and services offered by, the Bedfordshire Local History Association.
  • A list of member societies, corporate bodies, and their contact points is posted on the BLHA website, but any further details will not be released to any other party.
