Luton Hoo Walled Garden Update

Luton Hoo Walled Garden Update

Half-way through the season and we have been delighted with our visitor numbers enjoying Open Wednesdays (until 30th September) from 1100-1500 with tours at 1130, 1230 & 1400 – £5 entry includes the tour.  New this year are refreshments in the conservatory – exceptional food at very reasonable prices. Come and have a look for yourself.

If Wednesday is a day you can’t manage then visit the Garden on Heritage Day on Sunday September 13th.  Entry free but tours extra.  An innovation this year will be  tours of the Victorian Farm buildings which have been used for location filming for Call the Midwife, War Horse, World’s End, Oliver and many others. Also available on Wednesdays.

Children’s Workshops continue on Thursday mornings throughout the summer holidays and the October half term for 4-10 year olds from 1000-1200.  Subjects include the Herb Garden, Bug Hunt, Summer Harvest and Seed Gathering.  Ring 01582 721443 or email office@lhwg.org.uk to book.  Full details www.lutonhooestate.co.uk

Entry to the Luton Hoo Estate Walled Garden is via the A1081 signposted Newmill End and then left into the Estate then follow the signs. No entry via the Hotel.
